Directions: To thicken hot liquids, mix cornstarch with a little cold liquid until smooth before adding to hot liquids. May also be stirred into sugar before adding to recipe. When recipe calls for flour to thicken soup and stews, use half as much cornstarch as flour.

A standard thickening agent used in cooking. Dehydrated cornstarch can also be used as an alternative to talc and is the main ingredient in biodegradable plastic. It is also mixed with sugar to make powdered sugar. A baking aid for your emergency food storage or to keep on hand for your cooking and baking needs. Shelf life estimates are based on industry studies from sources deemed reputable. Since Rainy Day Foods has no control over individual storage practices, they must disclaim any liability or warranty for particular results. Should be stored in cool dark place, optimum condition is 60 degrees or less, for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store 20-25 years. Bulk products need to be repackaged for long term storage.
